Victoria Teresa Arias, 18, went to be with our heavenly Father at 3:12 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017. She was loved by many and her kindness and faithful spirit will forever leave an impression on all of the lives she touched.
Victoria was born Dec. 1, 1998, in Tucson, AZ. She loved playing volleyball, reading, and singing with her youth mariachi group Los Changuitos Feos. She graduated from San Miguel H.S. with honors and had received a full ride scholarship to attend Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota. She was going to major in biochemistry and eventually wanted to become a surgeon in the trauma unit.
She is survived by her father and mother, Michael and Lorena Arias; grandmother, Susan Arias; nana and tata, Jorge and Teresa Teran; her sister, Desiree Arias; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her tata, Ignacio “Nacho” Arias.
Services will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, July 21, at St. Augustine Cathedral, where Msgr. Raul Trevizu will preside. She will then be laid to rest in the South Lawn Cemetery. A celebration of Victoria’s life will be held at the San Miguel Hgh School gym immediately following.
