Teresa (Tracy) Carmel Williams, age 58 of Tucson, AZ, passed away on January 4, 2017 with her husband and children by her side. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 14, 1958 where she continued to live until moving to Tucson in 2007. She graduated from Pius XI high school then earned a BS degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Tracy was married to William (Bill) Williams on June 15, 1985.
Tracy had an impactful career in public service, working for the City of Milwaukee as a plan examiner, Administrator of Condemnation, and Deputy Director of Building Inspection. Upon relocation to Tucson she became the Code Enforcement Administrator then Deputy Director of Housing and Community Development. To nurture her creative side, she enjoyed making mosaic pots from colorful pieces of broken plates.
She is survived by: Husband, Bill Williams; Daughter, Joyce Williams; Sons, George and Eddie Williams; Sisters, Gerda Maher and Mary Jones; Brothers, Torsten Furumo and Norbert Furumo; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, Tucson, AZ, on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
