Sylvia spent many years working at the Public Defender's Office as a Supervisor for legal secretaries. Additionally, she spent time as the secretary for a Federal Court judge. Before typing skills were prevalent, she would offer her secretarial skills to U of A students that needed papers typed.
Sylvia loved being involved in the lives of those around her and helping them out wherever she could. She never knew a stranger and was always interested in the stories people had to tell. She always loved telling her own stories of her daily adventures. Sylvia enjoyed her time at the Armory Park Senior Center where she would meet her friends and enjoy a few rounds of bingo.
Sylvia had a strong faith in God and her daily prayers included her family and friends. She saw small miracles in everyday life. On May 17th, her Jesus held Sylvia’s hand and took her home. Sylvia will be missed by many.
