Saul A Rodriguez

Saul A Rodriguez, age 86 passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Saul was born on June 8th, 1937 in Santa Rita New Mexico to Manuel Rodriguez and Belen Avila, both of whom preceded him in passing. Saul was one of nine children, with four brothers and four sisters, he was the second oldest of his brothers.

Saul was a man with a lot of love in his heart, and had two great loves in his life: his first wife Julietta Enriquez with whom he spent thirty years of marriage before their cordial parting and who survives him; his devoted partner Linda Ambrose whom he shared his life with before her passing and whom he rejoins now in eternal glory.

Saul was the patriarch of a large and devoted family, and is survived by his children Saul Rodriguez (Terry), Anna Rodriguez (Hector), Sally Martinez (Mario), Samuel Rodriguez (Brandi), and Lawrence Rodriguez (Linda). Saul is further survived by: his grandchildren Michelle, Christina, Monique, Deserae, Samuel Jr., Danielle, Saul III, Cassandra, Mario Jr., Marc, Christopher, Dominic, and Nickolas; his sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Professionally, Saul worked for the city of Tucson in environmental services for over 30 years before his retirement. He was a hard-working, humble man who enjoyed the little pleasures in life. When he wasn't spending time with his family, he could be found sneaking an oatmeal pie, indulging in a Taco Bell taco, or sharing a beer with friends and family. He was an honest man at his heart, who owned his accomplishments and mistakes with good humor, and did his best to teach his children what it means to live, and provide for them. He knew it was important to laugh everyday.

Saul had a glowing spirit which shines on in the hearts of his children and grandchildren; he is remembered fondly with smiles and laughter, for all of the gentle moments and frustrations he met with steadfast dignity. His memory will be cherished by all those who had the opportunity to know him, and he will be dearly missed.

A memorial for Saul will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, visitation from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, followed by a prayer and funeral service from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
