Sara passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, July 29, 2018. Born in Tucson on January 25, 1926, Sara was the daughter of Rafael and Rosa (Rico) Gonzalez. She graduated from Tucson High School in 1944. On the first day of June,1946, she married Ruben T. Espinoza. They had four children, Margaret Quiroz and husband, Richard, Cecilia Murrieta and husband, Miguel, Philomena Lopez, and Ruben “Ronnie” Espinoza and wife, Kathy, ten grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She’s also survived by her brother, Gus Rico and sisters, Ofelia Foley and Marta Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben and her granddaughter, Lilian Murrieta.
Sara’s family was her passion. She enjoyed gambling at the casinos, playing bingo and friendly, and sometimes not so friendly, card games with her children and grandchildren.
