Is this the same Rusty Shoup I played with as a boy in Van Buren Twsp., later to become Kettering, Ohio? Brother David, Father Harold, Mother Mabel. The Shoups lived on the corner of Oakview Dr & Marricar Dr and we lived next door. If so, would someone from the family please contact me. Thanks you very much. I suspect this is my same boyhood friend and it saddens me greatly to learn of the passing of this gentle soul and good, kind and tender-hearted man.

I was so sorry to learn of Mr. Shoup's passing.  He was my counselor and a great support and help to me.  I will never forget him.  I was so overjoyed to have him attend my wedding in 1987.  Please know how much he was cared for.

Rusty Shoup was an important factor in our family's lives.  He was a caring and special man to young lives he helped in his career.  I am so saddened to learn of his passing and my sincere sympathy goes out to his family.  Please know how many lives he touched.  We last saw him at our daughter's wedding in 1987 and were so happy he was with us for the occasion.

Although we have never met Rusty's immediate family, the entire Joe and Jean (Shoup) Olivera family) send their sincere condolences. I have many fond memories of our visits with Rusty and his  parents, Uncle Harold and Aunt Ardele, his sisters, Ellen and Susie. Some vistis in Newhall, Ca. and some in Santa Maria, Ca. May he forever rest in peace.
