Roy Lee Perkins, age 66, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, among his loving family. Roy is preceded in passing by his parents, and is survived by his children, siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.
Roy is fondly recalled as the "best dancer in Tucson," and for being an outstanding coach. If there was a sport played by the students at his beloved Alma Mater Tucson High, Roy was involved. He coached basketball, football, track-and-field, and expertly helped in shaping young minds, instilling an incredible work ethic and skill in the lives he touched.
A funeral service for Roy will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1019 E 31st Street, Tucson, AZ 85713. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Perkins, Austin Perkins, Frank Perkins, Dwayne Hill, Dale Perkins, Billy Perkins and Yody Perkins.
