It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Roy Mylo Alden Erickson, Sr. on July 4, 2020. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Roy was born on Easter morning April 5, 1942 in Greenbush, MN to Ernest and Adeline Erickson. After high school graduation in 1960, he joined the Air Force in November of 1961 and was stationed in Tucson, AZ where he met Billie Raye Jorgenson. They married on September 25, 1965 in Libby, MT.
They resided in Tucson, AZ where he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a brakeman/conductor. They raised two daughters, Amy and Teri, and two sons Mylo and Will.
He is survived by his wife Billie; daughters Amy (Jim) McAllister and Teri (Kurt Stoffel) Erickson; sons Mylo (Amanda) Erickson and Will Erickson; grandchildren Dakota (Megan Fisher) Erickson, Hayden McAllister, Myles McAllister and Mya McAllister; sister Harriet Melby of Roseau, MN, brother Gale Erickson of Grafton, ND, sister-in-law Sharon Erickson of Greenbush, MN; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Adeline Erickson, brother Jay Erickson, brother-in-law Leslie Melby and sister-in-law Shirley Erickson.
Services are private due to Covid and will be held on July 16th, 2020 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary. Service will be available on Facebook Live at 10:30 am PST via East Lawn Palms Mortuary & East Lawn Palms Cemetery Facebook page.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” to honor Roy. It will be held at a later date once it's safe to have large gatherings again.
Roy loved family, life and traveling and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
