Roxanne “Rocky” Louise Gump died peacefully in her sleep on March 2, 2018. She was 62. Rocky, the daughter of James and Helen Langan Gump, was born in Colon, Panama. The family moved to the Philippines where Rocky lived until college. She graduated with a degree in Religious Studies from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa where she met her husband David Hockenberg. The two moved to Tucson where Rocky attended the University of Arizona and received her nursing degree. Rocky was an active member of the Northminster Presbyterian church. Rocky was fun and loving and unapologetically herself aways. Her laugh was bright and infectious. She is survived by her husband, David, and two their children, Emma Hockenberg and Charles Hockenberg and brother, Gregory Gump. The service will take place at Northminster Presbyterian on Thursday March 15th at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Habitat for Humanity.
