Roseann came to the United States with other War Brides and their infants on the Queen Mary, where the family eventually settled in her father’s home town of Menominee, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan 1967 with a degree in English. She also earned a Masters Degree in Reading Disabilities from Northeastern University. Roseann started her career teaching English and working with slow readers in various high schools in the Chicago area, including Barrington High School. She and her first two loving children, Whitney (Knox) Iger and Matthew Knox moved to Tucson in 1979. In 1982 she married her beloved husband, John Munger, with whom she enjoyed 40 years of beautiful and exciting times until she passed. Her third child, John F. Munger II, was born to the happy couple in 1984.
In Tucson Roseann enjoyed many happy years as a Real Estate Agent and Broker. In 1987, Roseann and John brought 100’s of thousands of dollars worth of Western Art pieces to Japan where Roseann successfully marketed this art to Japanese businesses and individuals. At the same time Roseann began to recognize her natural abilities and interest in oil painting. In a beautiful home studio she began painting and showing her art. She enjoyed a growing patronage from many art collectors and was invited to show her art in permanent showings in multiple art galleries in Tucson, Phoenix and in Southern California.
Roseann enjoyed riding horses on their little ranch in Sonoita as well as sailing, using their home in Dana Point, California, as their base. She travelled extensively with John to over 60 countries together over the years, although Roseann was always glad to return to her home in Tucson. She loved her family, her pet animals, and her happy life with John. And she absolutely adored music, dancing, and raising her beautiful voice in her choir at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. She was always sweet and kind to everyone she met. She was a full partner and loving wife to John at all times.
