Roger Louis Stern went to heaven on December 3, 2022 in Tucson, Arizona. He leaves behind his daughter Elizabeth Stern Troger (husband-Alex), granddaughter Vivian, sister Carole Stern-Childs (husband-Joe), and sister Elaine Stern-DeAugusta (husband-Joe). Roger was born in Long Beach, California in 1956 to parents Carolina and Roger Stern. He spent his formative years in Cananea, Mexico, and loved recounting his vibrant childhood memories filled with mischievous adventure and fun. He attended high school at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California prior to studying at the Colorado School of Mines. A skilled woodworker, he owned and operated a successful cabinetry business in Tucson, Arizona for over 20 years. Roger never gave up his inquisitive nature; he holds a U.S. Patent and loved dreaming up the next big idea with his daughter. He was an animal lover, antique car enthusiast, and fan of many genres of music. His family will remember him for his gentle spirit and witty humor. He will be terribly missed.
A Mass service will take place on Friday, January 13th at 10AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Tucson, Arizona. A graveside service is to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona to be made in honor of Roger Stern, the ultimate friend to animals.
