Robert Paul McGovern

Born in South Gate, California on August 11th, 1937 to Hilda & Jack McGovern. He was joined with 2 sisters Phyllis & Judy.

Bob joined the Air Force in January 1957 during the Vietnam War Era. His duty stations were in California, Texas, Japan, Kansas and Hawaii. As an air craft mechanic he traveled to many short term assignments completing his Air Force duties in January 1964 receiving the Good Conduct Medal & the Air Force Longevity Service Award.

Bob and Raye McGovern married December 29th 1973 blending their four children Diana, Rob, Jeff, & Brenda. Brenda was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away December 26th 1975 at the age of 13.

After his military service Bob worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Ace Rental, US Rentals, Bingham's, Soto’s, and Unicoa retiring on and off and finally in 2007.

Bob loved his pets Missy, Rosie, & Raya and all his recused Turtles. He loved to camp & fish, cook and entertain.
