Robert Lee Hall, 91, peacefully passed away on August 17, 2023. Robert was born June 27, 1932 in Fort Dodge, Kansas. His list of accomplishments is long and varied. He served in the Korean War and used his GI Bill to earn 3 degrees culminating in a PhD. from the University of Arizona. While going to school, he met and married the love of his life, Lois Ann, who precedes him in death, after 46 years of marriage. Robert worked for the National Park Service, serving at the most northern park, Glacier National Park, to the most southern, Organ Pipe National Monument. History was his passion, and he was a man of tremendous knowledge and talents. He loved to camp, fish, fix clocks, carve, was a jack of all trades and was known to enjoy a drink or two. Robert, also known as PapaDoc, gave the best hugs according to his great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his four children: Mike, Lynne, David and Sandra, son-in-law Benjamin, daughter-in-law Darlene, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family thanks the entire staff at Brookdale East for their wonderful caring of Robert in his final years. Services are private and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
