Robert Melvin Friebus

died unexpectedly on July 28, 2013 at the age of 68. He was born on May 7th VE Day in Maywood Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother Louise and is survived by Robert his father; Debbie, his wife of over 37 years; daughters, Heather and Kimberly; granddaughter, Lillian Louise and many nieces and nephews. Robert loved and lived simply and quietly. He was married to the love of his life Debbie in 1975 after a courtship of pinball, poker and fun at the Poco Loco where they met. During his career as an Attorney he cared for his clients deeply, and in return they often thought of him like family. His passions included his family, Elvis, The Beach Boys, crossword puzzles, raising vegetables in his garden, golf, and being in the water, whether ocean, lake, river, or swimming pool. He was the ultimate Chicago Cubs fan. In all phases of his life he loved many cats and dogs. He was a sweet and caring soul who will be missed dearly.
