To my babe....I miss you so much and I still can't believe it's been a year since you left this world but I know you are in a better one with the Lord.  I know you are in peace and you have a new heart and are healthy.  I know you are working hard for your family like you told me you would when you got to heaven.  We talked much in those last days and I am forever greatful you gave me that peace.  My heart still breaks babe...but I am trying so hard to make you proud and raise our son well.  I would give anything to see you hold little Rigo again.  He is getting so big and smart and so much like you.

I know in my heart that you still watch over all of us and I can never be more thankful to God for having placed you in my life.  I know people have talked bad about me or may be angry at me at one time but they will never know the Rigo I knew and that will remain special to me.  I knew you like the palm of my hand and you knew me likewise.  I will never in my whole life find someone who was my my husband, my friend, my lover, my father figure and my teacher again.  I MISS YOU SO MUCH!  I can still feel your kisses and when you use to hold my hand on our long cruses in the mustang.  I can still smell your skin and feel your face.  I do wish you were here but you are gone to help us all.  I love you still and always will.

Rigo, "Thank You" for letting me know that you'll be alright, that has given me some kind of comfort. I was coming home from my mom's hearing a CD that Sylvia made for me and one of your favorite songs from "Lee Oscar" came on "Before the Rain" remember that one? It made me laugh and cry at the same time. Hope you keep coming to me in my dreams. I know you and Guber are having a great time, please tell him that I miss him very much. You will be missed. Cindy

Babe, as I sit here I reflect on all the good times we shared and how you opened your heart to me in so many ways until the very end.  The man!! your son, will always know how special you were and I will always make sure he has your memory with him forever.  I miss u so much and no matter what happens, I know that you will always be the love of my life.

My thoughts and prayers to all of Rigo's loved ones. He was a "one of a kind" person, and someone I will never forget. Always had a big smile on his face...even when times where tough. You were like another little brother to me.  I remember you since you were a little boy at Mission View, when you and Pancho were both in the first grade, and became the best of friends.  You both were inseperable from that day forward, to the point that when your Mom passed, your Aunt knew just where to find you to give you the news.   

I was also remembering when you would ride your bike around the island in front of Moms house popping a wheelie all the way around.  Everytime someone saw you do that for the first time they would be amazed.  

I also remember when you would come to the house after school, and just hang out.  You would give out our phone number to your girlfriends, and you were just like everybody in the family, since my bedroom was closest to the telephone, you would go in my room and kick back on my bed just like you you belonged there.  I would come in, and just like one of my brothers I would throw you out.  

I'm sure if we all got together we could write a whole book on all the memories we have of you.  You are deeply missed, and will alway be remembered foundly by all of the "Salinas" and the "Salinas-Castillo" families.  Although we are sad to see you go, you have gone to be with your Mom, I am sure that you are both rejoicing in each others company, it has been a long time since you have seen and hugged each other. 

To your wife and families, I send them my deepest heart felt sympathies, as they have lost a GREAT Father, and Husband.  May God Bless them, and keep give them the strenght to deal with this great loss.

Rigo, my Brother. My Friend. My Comprade. It's so hard to believe you've gone to be with The Good Lord at such a young age. However, our Lord has called you to be with him. May he give your body and soul peace and rest. We know you fought this long and hard and until the very end. You were very courageous through it all.

I have so many memories of you - learning to drive your Ford truck, chaperoning you and my sister, going out dancing and cruising, working with you at the drag races - we had so much fun together when we were young. You taught me about life when my dad was absent in my life and I thank you for that. I remember many times just sitting around drinking beer and singing old rock & roll and funk songs with you - I really enjoyed that. Although things did not work out between you and my sister, you were always loved and respected by me and by my family.  Always! You will be missed. I know you will find Heaven to be filled with your music, race tracks, and classic Mustangs, but moreover, filled with the loved ones you lost during your lifetime. Please say hello to my Brother for me and let him know that we miss and love him too!
