Richard Warner Wright was born on March 8, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, to Harry and Phyllis Wright. Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during peacetime. He passed away in Tucson, Arizona on September 2, 2015.
Beloved husband of Sandra, father of Paige, Palmer, Jeffrey, Keith, Penny, Benjamin and Clifford, brother of Judy and Paul; “Papa” to 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Richard was raised in the Detroit area and retired from Chatham Supermarkets where he had worked for 35 years mostly as a produce manager. He spent his last 23 years in Tucson, Arizona. A Memorial Service at Old Mariners Church, 170 E Jefferson, Detroit, Michigan will be scheduled at a later date. Free parking is available in the Ford Underground Parking on Jefferson Avenue for all attending.
