Richard was born in Spokane, Washington. A loving husband to Thelma for 63 years; father to Garnet, Diane, Rick and Deborah of Tucson, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Air Force, Army and Washington State National Guard. He retired from American Airlines in 1980 and was an active member of the NRA. He also participated with the Boy Scouts, Boys Chorus and was Camp Master teaching archery at camp and being a mentor to many boys for 25 years. Dick was an active member of Country Club Church of Christ for many years. He also was a “Grand Pa” and helped care for many foster babies. He was known for his sharp mind, love of books and reading. Private family services will be held.
