Rebecca Suzanne Johnson passed away on February 13th, 2020 at the age of 69. She was born on August 4th, 1950 to C. Haywood Wyatt and Margie Wyatt in Wichita, KS. She loved spending time with her neighborhood friends and harassing her brother Bruce Wyatt. She also loved spending time out on the family farm in Salina, KS with her beloved grandparents Robert Bruce Johnson and Neva Johnson.
As a nurse, Rebecca traveled the country and lived in multiple states. She took a job in Decatur, IL as a paramedic coordinator and met Bruce Robert Johnson (notice the irony?) while taking a trauma nursing certification in Champaign, IL. They married in 1982 and three years later moved to Tucson, AZ and decided to call that their home. Rebecca worked at various levels of skilled nursing at multiple Tucson hospitals. After 40 years of being a nurse, Rebecca retired from nursing and chose to fill her time as a dog groomer. In July of 2014 she purchased the dog grooming shop and became a small business owner.
Rebecca had two children, Matthew and Elizabeth, and devoted her time and love to them. While working full-time, she found time to support them at their soccer games and tournaments, cook dinners (or bring take out) and spent lots of quality time with them. She was caring and thoughtful and focused on serving her family and friends. This continued and grew when her grandchildren, Olivia and Harrison, were born. She prioritized caring for them during the week while still owning and operating her business. She will be greatly missed by all of those whom she loved and who loved her, but she will forever be in our hearts.
