He passed into eternity on February 17, 2023.
Ralph was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered as a brave Bisbee man who never gave up on his fight. In his childhood, after class at Lincoln School, he would run to his grandmother's kitchen, eager to eat and learn how to be a fantastic cook like her. Ralph was a Bisbee Coaster race champion and a multi-sport athlete. One of his best moments was being crowned the first wrestling state champion for Bisbee High School in 1983. His passions included being an accomplished hunter, fisherman, and camping in the White Mountains. He frequented the farmer's market to converse and learn how to improve his garden to share with others. Ralph worked very hard as a skilled carpenter and concrete mason until his cancer diagnosis 11 years ago. Nevertheless, Ralph continued a fulfilling life through his strong will, a loving family, and his friends' support. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Ralph’s ‘compa”, Gaston Renteria, who helped him immensely during the last days of his health treatments. During this time, his heart’s desire was to make unforgettable memories with his children and grandchildren. Ralph had many proud accomplishments, but being a great father and an even better grandfather was his life's work.
Ralph is survived by his mother, brother, sister, son, daughters, four grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews. Lydia Jimenez (Mother), Veronica Campa and David Campa (Sister and Brother-in-law) Ernest Jimenez III and Tammy Jimenez (Brother and Sister-in-law). Rafael Jimenez Jr (Son), Arianna Jimenez (Daughter) and Maria Jimenez (Daughter). Jayla Espinoza Garcia (Granddaughter) Daniel Nolan (Grandson), Jacob Rocha (Grandson) and Matteo Rocha (Grandson)
He was preceded in death by his loving father, grandfather, grandmother, and uncle. Ernest Jimenez Jr. (Father), Ernest Jimenez Sr. (Grandfather), Josephina Peralta (Grandmother), Cecilia Avery (Grandmother) and Roberto Peralta (Uncle).
A service honoring both Ralph Jimenez’s and Ernest Jimenez Jr’s lives will be held on Friday, April 28th, 2023, 9:30 am, at St. Patrick Church, Bisbee AZ
