I’m so lost for words. Phil had a great heart. He always would stop to say hi and check how I was doing when I saw him. I am forever thankful for helping me years back. 
I know your watching over your beautiful wife, children and grand babies Phil,

Thank you for inviting us to celebrate such a special life lost too soon. Kevin is a man of few words, but he was deeply saddened by the loss of his friend Phil. I didn’t get to spend much time with Phil, but my memory of him is that he was a person that just radiated such joy. Hearing everyone’s memories at the service shows that he was such a special person, bringing joy and showing unconditional love to those around him and truly changing lives, something I think we should all aspire to do. I pray that your family’s love for Phil will keep you connected to each other and that you will continue his way of loving radically, I am certainly inspired to follow his example myself. If more people lived like he did, the world would certainly be a more beautiful place. May God comfort you in your loss until we are all together again. 

When I was 6 or 7 I remember jumping off of a washer in to a broken fishtank and cutting my foot really bad. I remember my mom Marianne freaking out and I remember you Uncle Phil picking me up holding me so tight telling me I was going to be okay and carrying me to the car. Carrying me to the emergency room. Everytime I look at the scar on my foot I've always thought of you and I will continue to do so. Thank you for making me feel so safe.  I have so many fun memories of running around your house with Bolie Rudy Phaphie Lil Don and Emily getting in to everything. You will always be a shinning light thank you for all the laughs. To the Champion family my heart is with you I'm so sorry rest in paradise uncle Phil.

I haven’t  been around for years and I never got to say thank you for all you done  for me and my family. Thank you for being there for us thank you for giving us kids a amazing childhood, when we thought nobody cared you were always there for us. You will forever and always be my red head uncle phil the only family me and my brother really know. You have made a forever imprint in our hearts and you will never be forgotten we love Phil 💙

Thank you Phil for always caring and loving my son, as he was your sons friend. Not your own. I will never forget that.  May you soar high and touch many more with your legacy.  🦋

From Gwynee, I only met phil a handful of times but having grown up with Zevin and Phophy, I was around him enough for him to leave an impact on me. He always treated me with kindness when I was around and always welcomed me into their home with open arms anytime I was there. He was a very very loving beautiful soul, and I am so sorry that today we are gathered for the lose of that soul. I love you all very much and though I’m not here in person today I’m with you all in spirit. All of my love goes out to the family. I’m sending all my prayers and love and biggest hugs to you all, I’m sorry this burden has been laid upon your family. If there’s anything I can do to make things easier do not hesitate to ask 💓

I didn't have a great deal of face to face with Phil but when I did he was always such a kind spirit, and when I found out he was a Cowboys fan I knew he was a good man.

In all seriousness, I could tell by talking with Brandi, she and Phil had a special bond. One that will last for eternity. My heart grieves for the family.  When those moments that seem too difficult to bear take hold of you, - take a moment, take a breath, feel the breeze on your face and know Phil is there with each of you letting you know, all will be well.

I am at a loss for words... I can’t see how our lives will ever be the same. My fondest memory is how great of a grandfather you were to my children. They flock to  you like bees and honey.  Jolie always on your shoulders, knowing you would always have a candy stash , or making her tents on the side of your bed. I remember Jimmel riding around in your red truck, after swimming you would wrap the kids in a towel and bake them in the sun to warm them up. I love you so much Phil.  I find comfort in this scripture Thessalonians 4:17  Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.  I know you will be protecting and watching over your family until then.  

Although we didn't get to visit often, I enjoyed the times we did and looked forward to many more.  Wish, just as everyone else does, that you could have stayed here longer. I know though, that even though we can't see or touch you, you will be with your family at every gathering. Will miss you.

My dear baby brother, this should not have happened to you.  There were so many things you still wanted to do.  We all know that you were not ready for this.  I can't imagine the sadness you felt knowing you were leaving us.
I want you to know that we are very blessed and grateful to have had you in our lives. To feel your kindness and love.  Your strength. You gave of yourself to everyone always. You were the Sweetest soul I ever met.  I love you always.

Thank you for teaching me how to be a man, You were our family's Superman, you touched so many lives Dad, A part of all of us went with you to heaven.
I love you Dad unil we meet again.

My heart is broken. You are in my soul. You were taken too soon. I will love you for eternity.
