Patty Jane Childs

in Jerome, Iowa, one of nine children born to

her parents, Milton and Ethel Clark Sager.

She died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the

Tucson Golden Life Assisted Living Home in

Tucson. Patty grew up in Centerville, Iowa

where she met her husband to be, Vance

Childs. They married in Lancaster, Missouri

on the 24th of December, 1941. Patty and

Vance were the parents of two children; Jack

and Gary. In 1951 they moved their family to

Tucson, Arizona where they established

permanent residence.

Patty worked many years in the dentist office

of Dr. Richard Rucker where she retired as

Office Manager about 1986. Patty was a

wonderful mother who always put her family

first. She enjoyed quilting, bowling and was

at one time Secretary of the Arizona Fiddlers

of Tucson but most of all she loved family

gatherings.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband,

Vance in 2011, her parents, seven siblings,

Velma, Bill, Kenneth, Garnette, Donna, Rose

and Frank. She is survived by her sons, Jack

(Anna Mary), Gary (Betty), her brother Richard

Sager along with numerous grand and

great-grand children.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday,

January 17, 2016 at 1 pm at Funeraria Del

Angel South Lawn, 5401 S Park Ave,

Tucson, AZ 85706.
