Oran A. Oller 80, of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016. Oran was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 1, 1935 to Heber and Gertrude Oller. Oran entered service with the United States Navy in 1952 and served throughout the Pacific during his tenure.
Following military service, Oran worked for Martin providing support for Titan II missile bases across Arizona. Oran married Joyce A. Oller on October 25, 1965 and shared a long life together prior to her passing in 2011. Oran is survived by his brother, Bill; his son, Mark; Stepchildren, Rebecca and Steven Gorrell, and his grandchildren, Jada, Josh, Max and Kate.
Oran was a Journeyman Millwright with the Arizona Carpenters Union who subsequently ran a successful Contracting company for over 20 years. Oran was well regarded among his peers for his honesty, ethics and attention to detail throughout his career. Oran and Joyce hosted and established long term friendships with foreign exchange students from many other countries as sponsors with International Friends of Tucson, Arizona. Oran had an extended family through Christ and was a member of Desert Springs Presbyterian Church. Services will be held Wednesday April 13, 2016 at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Road. Visitation for viewing is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial Service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
