Nelson H. Boykins born March 16, 1935, in Canfield Arkansas to Bernice and Nelson Boykins. Nelson was the second of four children.The family later moved to Garland City Arkansas where he was Baptized at an early age. Nelson attended school and after graduation attended Collage in Pine Bluff Arkansas. Nelson Moved back to Garland where he married Mollie Bell McCowan. To this Union seven children were born. They later moved to Tucson Arizona. Nelson was a licensed plumber. Nelson joined Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, he was an active member until he divorce moved to Los Angeles California.There he met & married Hattie Smith to this union 7 more children were added. After a few years Nelson moved his family Tucson, and later to Wichita Kansas. After all the children were grown Nelson & his wife moved back to California some years later his wife passed. Nelson has alway been a prayer warrior, and active member of the church where ever he lived. In Los Angeles he joined The house of Prayer where he remained a member until his home going as a deacon. Nelson married Mary Thompson late in life. A few years later she passed away. Nelson is preceded in death by his parents Bernice and Nelson Boykins, wives Hattie and Mary Boykins, brother Matthew Boykins, sister Elzora Phillips, daughter Shelia Macon, and grandsons Micheal Ashford, Eddie "shorty" Macon, step children, Mattie Smith, Leon Smith and James "dilly" Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory: sister Hattie Ward Tucson AZ, daughters Rosemary Archie of Texarkana AR, Edna Boykins & Annette Ashford(Randy) of Tucson AZ, Tress Andrea "Tab" Lawrence of Richmond CA. Darlene Smith Wichita KS, SherylSmith Kansas City KS, sons Nelson Boykins jr. of Wichita KS, Charles( Suaney) BoykinsTucson AZ, Darrell Boykins Richmond CA, Jamie Scott Phoenix AZ, Joe Smith Wichita KS, William Smith Phoenix AZ, Darlene Smith of Wichita KS, 36 grandchildren, 39 great-grand children, and 4 great great grand children, a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends. Nelson Lived His Life His way with no regrets. He Fought a Good Fight and Ran A Good Race. Putting God God First Till The End!!!
