Other than 5 years in the Navy Michael spent his life in Tucson, Arizona. Michael graduated from Sahuaro High School in 1997. He then entered the Navy where he completed his basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois. His training was in December and he spent some duty time on snow watch; quite a change for a kid from the desert! He spent his Navy enlistment in Oahu, Hawaii.
Returning to Tucson he worked at various companies honing his computer skills. His last job was at Geico as an insurance underwriter.
Michael had an extensive exotic knife collection. He was a voracious reader and had read many of the great works. He especially had an interest in word origins. He also studied Japanese culture and had a great interest in martial arts. He loved family traditions and Christmas was his favorite time of the year.
His son, John was born 2006. Being the first grandchild he was a celebrity of the Williamson clan. John has grown to be so much like his father.
Michael is survived by his son, John Williamson, parents Richard and Constance Williamson, his brother Ryan Williamson and Nephew Jeremiah Williamson. Also his grandmother, Constance Neilson, his uncle James (Theresa) Williamson, and cousin Wesley (Ann) Williamson. Beloved Aunts Karen (Russell) Wold, and Carol (Doug) King, cousins Katie (Brandon) Karr, Michelle (John) Cornelius, Jared King and their 5 children. He has many other family members scattered across the country.
Michael is predeceased by his dearest grandparents Wesley and Ruth Williamson, Betty Neilson, Lavaughn Neilson as well as his uncle James Neilson.
His close friends Nicky Clark and Jenny Skyler and many other friends and acquaintances will miss his quick wit and friendship.
Mike’s family wishes to thank Tucson Medical Center ICU for the care and compassion while in their care.
