Melvin is survived by his beloved Felicia Ingram, and their children; he is further survived by his mother Willie Mae, and sister Delisa. Family was everything to Melvin, whether he was protecting his young daughter from thunder when it stormed, or acting as caretaker and provider, Melvin was loyal and devoted to those he loved. He is fondly remembered as being an incredible husband, father, brother, and son. Melvin unwound by watching westerns and kung-fu movies, and delighted in enjoying delicious food.
As a young man Melvin was active, participating in little league games, playing basketball and doing karate, as well as devoting time to the Boy Scouts. As an adult, Melvin liked to work and to help people. He had a long career in telemarketing and sales, made certain his family would never go without, and lent a hand to anyone who asked for help. His strength and kindness shone in him throughout his life and reflected his dedication to his faith. Melvin gave his life to Christ on Father's Day Sunday under the leadership of Pastor Chad Strong at Jericho of Hope COGIC on 6/17/18.
Melvin's loss will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and community. His memory will be honored and cherished in the many hearts he touched.
