It is unbelievable how fast a year passes.  You are gone but never forgotten.  Little things throughout my day remind me of growing up with you.  Like when my kids know to change the channel at a certain time because my favorite program is coming on, I remember when you used to tell us, "Put it on 09.  09.  09," and we knew it was Wheel of Fortune, followed by Jeopardy time.  

When I straighten my hair, I remember when you'd be sitting in the chair letting Raylene do God only knows what to your hair, and you'd be okay with it, whether your hair fell out or turned out great.  And to be able to sit there and let it happen over and over, even after the bad hair travesties, showed what a selfless person you were and how you let others learn from their mistakes.  

I miss and love you tremendously and I am thankful for these memories and many, many others.   

Going as a family to Texas or California  to visit more family on paternal and  maternal  was always a vacation to look forward to.  Miss driving with all the uncles, aunts, and cousins.  Mom you always stayed with us (the children). You are in my heart and  thoughts every day. 
I can't believe a year has passed without you.  We all  Love and miss you 😘 ❤

Lol cousins, but we use to have a ball playing at MiMis house. Hide and go seek with Shakia and Gabby. I'd sit in there with you watching Wheel of Fortune and drinking your pepsi. (Pepsi makes ya burp) ("Its good for ya) what she always told me 🥰  I love you MiMi ❤ my sunflower 🌻🌻Im fun size just like you.💕 I love you MiMi 

Never will I have the words to express the deep hurt I feel for the loss of our family's matriarch, Mimi.  She was the kindest, most giving, selfless human being.  She never asked anyone for anything.  She loved everyone and helped, even if they didn't deserve her love it help.  She was the epitome of "What would Jesus do?" She had the best sense of humor, designated herself as the world's greatest driver, and always made it a point to be at everyone's special celebrations, whether she wanted to be there or not.  She always had the best picture collection but let everyone know that it is illegal to take another person's picture without their permission.  She's didn't like to take pictures.  I remember taking long family trips with her to California, sitting through long church services, her driving us back and forth to school, letting everyone stay in her home even when there wasn't any room.  She had the biggest heart and was the kindest person you'd ever meet in your life.  Words cannot express the deep sorrow our family feels over the loss of Mimi.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought she would outlive everyone.  Lord, please continue to protect our sweet angel and let us feel the presence of her spirit until we are one day reunited with her.  I hope we've made you proud, Mimi, and hope you know how deeply you are loved and appreciated.

My Grandmother Mary was the best Grandmother anyone could ever have.  She is my heart ❤ my everything.  She raised me and my sister and did every thing she could for us.  She gave so much to us and others.  Her heart was so pure and giving and would always look out for everyone but herself.  I'm going to to miss her so much.
