She was born in Thunder Hawk, SD on March 28, 1930, and graduated from Lemmon, SD High School.
She was married to Gailen V. Wolff on May 18, 1949. They moved to Tucson in 1950. She had careers in banking and real estate and was a member of Pilot Clubs International, Symphony Women’s Association and Tucson Opera Guild, among others.
Marian had a passion for the Lord as expressed through service at Catalina Foothills PCA, including a nursing home ministry into her 80’s. She was passionately dedicated to the welfare of our nation, and served as Campaign Co-Chair from 2004 – 2014 for State Senator Al Melvin.
Marian is survived by her children Steven (Julie) Wolff, Stuart (Cynthia) Wolff, and Marcia (David) Keesling; Grandsons Kevin, Clint and Tom Wolff, and one great grandson. In addition, she is survived by a sister Lois Schaetzle and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Christian and Tillie Heggem, her husband, and siblings John, Betty and Evelyn.
Marian was filled with an abiding force for good that impacted all those around her. She lived a life of compassion for “the least of these”.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. December 29 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary.
