Born on May 1, 1948, in Tucson, Arizona, Maria’s life was a beautiful testament to love, devotion, and resilience.
Maria met and married the love of her life, Hector Loya, and together they shared over 60 wonderful years of marriage — building a legacy of family, love, and togetherness.
Though Maria’s formal education only reached the elementary level, her wisdom, resourcefulness, and strength were unmatched. She was a homemaker all of her life — the heart of her home — caring for her family with a quiet grace and fierce dedication.
Maria loved to read, finding joy and comfort in a good story. She had a special talent for fixing small things, breathing life into broken things. She was a true fan of western movies and Spanish novelas and cherished the sounds of all Mexican music, filling her home with songs that will forever remind her family of her presence.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Hector, their six children, eighteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren — all of whom carry a piece of her in their hearts.
Her love was simple, steady, and unconditional — the kind of love that shaped generations. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family, memories, and lessons that will never be forgotten.
Maria Loya will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
