Maria Belen Guevara

Maria Belen Guevara, age 93, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Maria was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Salvador Flores and Leonor Armendariz, who preceded her in passing. Maria was one of eight children and had three sisters and four brothers.

Maria met and married her beloved husband, Domingo Guevara, who survives her in passing. They spent 75 years happily married and were devoted to raising their many children. Maria is preceded in passing by her children Bernardo "Bernie" Guevara, Rosa Medeiros, Oscar Guevara, Edmundo "Mundo" Guevara, and Refugio Guevara. She is survived by her children Isabel Guevara Noel, Olga Niño, Frances Juarez, and Sonny Guevara. Maria is further survived by twenty-two grandchildren and forty-nine great-grandchildren. She has been reunited with her loved ones who had passed before her, and is now watching over her cherished family.

Maria is remembered as being a strong woman, who lived and loved fiercely with an unmatched devotion to her children and motherhood. She was a homemaker, compassionate, and is fondly recalled for her home-cooked meals, and her garden. Above all else, she loved and cared for others, giving beyond measure, tending a garden of kindness.

Maria will be greatly missed by her loving husband, family, friends, and all those who had the fortune to know her.
