Maggie was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. As the 2nd oldest of 13 children, she grew up in a close-knit and loving family. She graduated from Tucson High School in 1948 and married the love of her life (Mark) in 1949. Together, they raised Debbie, Steven, Mark, David, and Phillip with the same love and value of family. She retired from the Amphitheater school system after many years and became active in the Downtown Sertoma Club upon her retirement. Maggie was a devout Christian; her unfailing faith gave her the strength to endure life’s hardships. She was a lady of humble poise, who’s her heart touched all who were lucky enough to have known her.
She is survived by her children: Debbie Plimpton (Bob), Mark Watson (Kathy), Phil Watson (Lynne), 10 grandchildren, Steve Jr, Paul, Scott, Phillip, Aaron, John, Mathew, Nicholas, Damon and Elizabeth. 8 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Spencer, Evan, Isaac, Vincent, Caleb, Elijah, and Kenzie. 1 great-grand-child, Olivia. Siblings Robert (deceased), Pricilla (deceased), Roy, William (deceased), Dorcas, Richard (deceased), Daniel (deceased), Virginia, James, Linda (deceased), Marianne, Glenda, and their extended families.
She is predeceased by husband Mark, sons Steve and David and many family members with whom she’s now been reunited.
Maggie will be missed by many friends and family whose lives she touched and had a profound effect upon over the many years of her life. We will all miss her welcoming smile and unconditional love.
A celebration of life will be held at Bible Chapel, 1802 E. Grant Rd on Friday October 14th at 11:00 am with internment following at Evergreen Cemetery.
