Margaret L Townsend

Margaret L. Townsend, 85 of Tucson, Arizona passed away November 13, 2017. She was born in Batavia, New York on December 24, 1931. Margaret graduated from Wyoming Central School in New York and received an associates from Pima Community College. She was married to the Murray Townsend on December 3, 1950 who later passed on February 6, 1987. Margaret had a career as a Nurse’s Assistant for Tucson Medical Center. She had a passion for her family and gardening. Margaret is survived by her children, Peggy (Dennis) Redman, Thomas (Rachel) Townsend; grandchildren, Michele (Jerry) Keely, Eddie (Karianne) Croy, Shelly Flasch, Eric (Deann) Croy, Heather (Phil) Dolenar, Meagan Townsend, Shelby Townsend; great grandchildren, Felix Croy, Riley Croy, Branden Flasch, Brianna Flasch, Mitchell Dolenar, Paige Redman; siblings, Paul Pierson, Betty Watkins and many other close relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Murray Townsend; brother, John Pierson and parents Carl and Helen Pierson. The family would like to thank Dr. Marilyn Croghan and Dr. Natalie Stanton for all their care and to the oncology nurses at Arizona Oncology.
