MARGARET ANN NOETTL, nee WERNER, age 84. of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Southfield, MI, was called by her Savior to her eternal home on July 24, 2017. Beloved and dedicated wife of Donald and loving mother of Don (Marilyn) Noettl, Michael (Patricia) Noettl, James (Cindy) Noettl and Julie (Ron) Curcio. Proud “Oma” to eight grandchildren, Briana, Keri, Michael-Miguel, Zachary, Maggie, Katie, Leah, Paige and great-granddaughter, Olivia. Also survived by sisters Carol Meech, Janice Powell and brother, Walter (Jerry) Werner. Steadfast in her Christian faith, Marge was a true, humble servant – carrying out God’s work in the many places she lived; from her birthplace in St. Louis to California, Illinois, Michigan, and through retirement in Arizona. Her involvement first started with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League –an organization she strongly credits for equipping her with the necessary skills for a lifetime of service to follow. Her most active years were spent in Birmingham, MI at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer where she held staff positions and assisted with Lutheran Early Childhood programs, Confirmation, family life, women’s and senior ministries. Marge contributed her time and talent volunteering on countless projects using her spiritual gifts of writing, teaching, church event planning, sewing, quilting, crafting and banner design. She was also a tremendous example of strength and courage as a long-term breast cancer survivor. The most enduring legacy Marge left with her family was introducing us nearly 50 years ago to a quiet town that quickly became our favorite gathering place - Arcadia, MI. For three generations, the Noettl clan has enjoyed the camp, landscape, and peaceful retreat to reconnect with God, His creation and each other. Mom, we are all forever grateful you found us a place to feel the closest thing to heaven on earth. A future date for a memorial service to take place at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Birmingham, Michigan will be announced in coming weeks.
