Born in the town of Wakefield, in Yorkshire, England on the 11th of February in 1929, to William Leslie and Freda Ellen Bryan, she was the first of four siblings, Ronald G. Bryan, Jean Ellen Winn and Kathleen Schollar.
While in the Women's Royal Air Force, she met an American Serviceman, Billy Brannan, at RAF Brize Norton Air Base near Oxford, England. She won him over with her bright smile and a cup of tea. They married on 9 January, 1954.
Margaret and her husband Billy welcomed their adopted daughter Tamian into their home in England and set about passing on to her their love of England, her love of music, books, and the formula to make a proper cuppa. Her daughter remembers her as a proud, strong willed woman who was loved by all.
After moving to America, in Tucson, Arizona, Margaret began working for Outer Limits Kindergarten as a music and preschool teacher. Circa 1985 she won the prestigious National Child Care Teachers Award and was delighted to collect her award at a ceremony in Washington, DC. She was an accomplished musician and directed the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base church choir in the 70's and 80's. She was a devoted individual who loved to read and travel, who was proud of her service to her country, dedicated to her Queen, passionate about taking care of her family and devout in her relationship with God.
She is survived by her daughter Tamian Wood of Miami, Florida and her husband Michael, her brother Ronald G. Bryan, of Yorkshire, England and her sister Kathleen Schollar of Peterborough, England. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Billy Brannan, her father William Leslie Bryan, her mother Freda Ellen Bryan (nee Walker) and her sister Jean Ellen Winn.
A celebration of her life will be held on June 7th, 2018 at 1:00pm, at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn at 5401 S. Park Ave in Tucson AZ 85706.
