Manuel G Ramos, 90, died Dec. 10, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson, AZ. He was born May 31, 1923 in Belltown, CA, the son of Baltazar and Juana Ramos. He married Carmen Zarco in 1962. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 36 years and later as a security guard and crossing guard for the Tucson Unified School District. He was an avid reader, devoted husband and father. Survivors include daughter, Alma Harayda and her husband Mark, Tucson; two grandchildren Marcus and Angelina Harayda; daughter Dolores “Loli” Ramos, Tucson; a son, Manny Ramos, Tucson; two sisters, Angelina Martinez and Aurora Leyva, Colton, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret and Mary Estrada. A service will be held at South Lawn Cemetery and Mortuary, 5401 S Park Avenue Tucson, AZ 85706 on Saturday December 21 at 3:30 pm. Flowers may be sent to the Mortuary.
