Madge is preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Williams; daughter, Donna Walton; great-granddaughter, Heather Kisthardt and great great grandson, Jase DeBaker. She is survived by son, Ronald (Judy) Williams; daughters, Carole (John) Keener, Connie Szasz; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and her close friend, Norma Wright. Madge was formally from Hammond, Indiana. A graduate of Hammond High School where she was a member of the swim team. She married Delmar and raised her children in Hammond. To help support her family she worked from home as a seamstress. She was very talented and made everything from clothing, wedding gowns and bridal party dresses, to curtains and re-upholstering furniture. Babies in the family had one of her famous baby buntings. She sewed costumes from dance recitals and for a while, costumes for the Ringling Brothers Circus. Madge moved to Sarasota, FL after her husband died in 1979. There she volunteered with the Red Cross by going to different nursing homes and running the TOUCH exercise program. She did that until she was 99 years old. After not being able to drive anymore she decided it was time to live with family. She moved to Tucson, AZ to live with her granddaughter, Marcie. There she enjoyed going to her great great granddaughter’s soccer games and placing canasta at the senior center on Fridays. Madge enjoyed going to horse races, dog races and to the casinos to play 3 card poker and the slot machines. She enjoyed watching her “story,” reading and followed women’s tennis. Madge touched many lives in her 103 years and will be greatly missed. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
