Lydia R. Ohnesorgen was born in Nogales, Az. on July 31, 1928. She was the youngest of 8 children and is a descendant of the pioneer family William Ohnesorgen from Germany who settled in Benson, Arizona in 1871.
She is preceded in her passing by her parents Frank and Rosa Ohnesorgen. Her siblings Carmen (Alejandro) Figueroa, Raul (Rosita) Ohnesorgen, Gilbert (Ruth) Ohnesorgen, Rosalie (Rudy) Teyechea, Bertha (Manny) Arriola, Wilfred (Agnes) Ohnesorgen, Armando (Graciela) Ohnesorgen.
Lydia was a manager at Aaronson Brother's department store (currently the Chicago Music Store) for several years. She was an avid creator and loved arts and crafts. She crocheted many blankets and designed numerous beaded bracelets and necklaces. She gave many as gifts to the residents at Sabino Canyon Nursing Home and welcomed new residents with her bracelets.
She was always the life of the party and the party of life. Lydia is survived by her children Richard (Yolanda), Nora (Dean), Jaime (Cathy). Her grandchildren, David (Rachel) Aviles, Armando (Maria) Aviles, Eric Gallegos, Lisa Aviles, Brianna (Ryan) Edick, and Robert Aviles. Her great grandchildren, David Jr., Emmaleen, and Anthony Aviles. Anthony James and Wyatt Christopher Edick, she had numerous nieces and nephews.
