Luz Amelia Valenzuela

Luz "Lucy" Amelia VALENZUELA, age 59, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, went home to heaven on Thursday March 26, 2020. Lucy was born September 6, 1960 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. She is survived by her children, Lakeesha Valenzuela and Alex Lopez (Pete Nogales Jr.); sister, Blanca Carrizosa (Robert); brothers, Carlos Lopez (Elvia) and Rigoberto Lopez; companion, Jay Willeford and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Alejandro C. Lopez; sisters, Lupita Lopez and Leticia Monge; niece, Alexis Carrizosa; former husband, Augustine Valenzuela. Lucy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She'll always be remembered for her colorful sense of humor, and her everlasting affection towards those she loved. The true life and soul of any occasion, Lucy lived her life in the moment and will be greatly missed by all. Through her family her memory shall live on.

Due to current circumstances services will be limited to immediate family only. However, a celebration of life will be coordinated for a later date.
