Luis Garcia Martinez

1950 - 2015

Born in Tucson, Arizona on October 11, 1950 passed away surrounded by loved ones on August 10, 2015. He is proceeded in death by his parents Margarita G Martinez, Modesto O Martinez and sister Virginia S Sanchez. Survived by wife Maria Martinez, son Michael Martinez (Amanda), brothers Modesto Martinez (Mariana), John Sanchez (Yolanda), Santos, Stevie, and Rudy Sanchez. Sisters Micaela Martinez (Theodora), Patricia Santamarina (Bernie). Many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Employed by Foothills Rehabilitation Center. Special thanks to friend and coworker Kelley Lindell.

Luis was a happy man with a selfless heart and a passion for family and all things UofA.

His favorite pastimes were evenings spent with nieces and nephews watching UofA basketball games munching on Doritos and drinking his cold Coke a Cola.

A simple man who enjoyed old western movies, listening to oldies and Mexican music while organizing his already organized room.

His love of his family was always at the heart of everything he did. He was a devoted and attentive tio, nino and tata. Each have the memory of receiving birthday cards sent through the mail, and adventurous bus rides to the movies.

Without you nothing will ever be the same..
