Louie passed away on May 11, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona and is reunited with his father, mother, and brother. He was born on September 14, 1961, in Silver City, New Mexico, and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Louie married his high school sweetheart, Brenda. He was a plumber, a dancer, and a life-long prankster, with an unmatched sense of humor. He cared deeply for his son and daughter, Ian Louis and Jordan Breann, and his grandchildren Carley Breann, Ari’Ena Renee, and Ivan. Louie was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Adolfo Carley Quihuis, father, Leandro Maldonado Ortega, mother, Felicita Benavidez Ortega, and brother, Martin Anthony Ortega. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ann Quihuis Ortega, mother-in-law, Maria Elena Quihuis, brother-in-law, Anthony (Leslie) Quihuis, two children, three grandchildren, siblings, Julie (Sam) Duarte; Dan Ray (Stacey) Ortega; Leonard Mark Ortega; Bianca Jean (Bobby Joe) Ortega, and many nieces and nephews. Louie was larger-than-life who placed all others before himself – all gave some - Louie gave all. May the Ortega circle be unbroken; Vaya con Dios Lou.
