Obituary

Lloyd Bell passed away peacefully on January 16, 2022 in Tucson at 85 years of age. Lloyd was baptized in the Church of Christ in the early 1950s. In 1958, he married Alberta Curtis and together they had six children. Lloyd will always be loved and fondly missed by his devoted children, Alberta Mae Kennedy (deceased), Eugene Bell of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Sharon Colon and Lisa Martin (Marcus) of Tucson, Arizona, Juan Bell of Maricopa, Arizona, and Tyrone Bell of Mesa, Arizona; twelve grandchildren, Tasha, Les, Alexis, Crystal, Aron, Jamaal, Tyrone Jr., Max, Malik, Chanz, Saamia, Rasheed; three great-grandchildren, Jaylen, Jahaira, Jasmine, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ida Mae Jones and Eugene Walker Bell; daughter Alberta Mae Kennedy; twin sister Lois Stoglin; sisters Irma Jean Bell, and Ruby Jean Bell; grandchildren Jared Eugene Bell, Tori Lynn Bell, Sabriyah Q’wanice Martin; nephews Willie Bell and Eugene Bell; and niece Norma Bell.

Lloyd always had a love for cooking which led him to spend many years as a chef/manager at Lucky Wishbone, Jumping Jacks, and Hasty Tasty. He was a very hard worker and loved his family for which he proudly provided a good life. Following retirement, he enjoyed relaxing in his recliner watching TV, listening to his favorite Gospel music, attending Highland Church of Christ for approximately 70 years (1702 S Curtis Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713) and spending time with his family.

Please join the family for a Celebration of life at East Lawn Mortuary on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 11:00 am, followed by a service at 12:00 pm. Minister Eugene Johnson will be officiating.
