.. My dear family
i only knew Larry Castañeda during his boxing career in Tucson Arizona. My condolences to my immediate family the Castañeda's.. 

Larry was a good friend when we were at Flowing Wells High School in the early '70s, while traveling and living together when working on drilling rigs for Anamax Exploration, and when we both worked with the City of Tucson in different departments up to his retirement a few years ago. We had some great times together throughout the years, and I loved the man. He often would call me for advice related to work and personal life, some really tough times, up to about a year ago. I regret that I didn't reach out to him during the last few months, but take from the experience that I need to stay in touch with all my other friends.
Although his graveside service was a sad occasion, it brought together over 400 friends and relatives to honor him - quite a statement to who he was to the world, and a reminder to all that he was well-loved. The celebration of his life for family and close friends was truly alive with great stories shared, a further testament to this great man. I'll remember him dearly for the good times shared, and when our circle of old friends get together - now more often as a result of his passing - we'll all smile with our memories of him. Larry will be missed... 

My cousin Larry always made me smile and laugh. I will miss his nasty jokes, his infectious laugh, his strong hugs and talking to him about food and family. He also made the best salsa! I always looked forward to seeing him. He loved his family so much and you could see that. I will miss you so much and love you Larry and will see you one day. God bless my family...

I so remember those day...We were always the best of friends, and always picked up where we left off, as if time never past.  You will always be in my thought and prayers.   Jesus now has you and my brother.   May you rest.    My condolences to the Castaneda Family

Larry and I were the best of friends in our youth and stayed in touch through our lives. We worked together after school and remained in touch all our lives. I love you like a brother. My condolences to the family. You will be missed. Rest now my friend.

My loving nephew..more like a brother. I cherish our growing up memories as kids, building forts in Globe, me staying the summers w/u, me eventually living with u as roommates & making it home for a short while, hating ur hundred shoes in the living room...lol...it was fun riding bikes, u cooking, me cleaning,  ugh, then fishing partners when u'd come.  I will miss every call /text & wine partners. I love u & miss u with all my heart...I forgive you & understand ur pain.  Jesus will have us see each other again.  Rest in peace, my nephew, brother, friend.😚💞💔💔💔

He was more than a nephew; he was my brother. We grew up together and hung around quite a bit. We got in first fights a lot but always made up and hung around again. I loved him so much and will miss him. I will never forget the many things we got into. My greatest love and respect to my sister Frances and brother in law Danny. I am very sorry. 
I will never ever forget  Larry.
