Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and true friend was finally called home by Our Lord.
She was born in Nogales, Arizona, to George and Alicia Franklin.
In 1958, she was married to Francisco Javier Llanes and gave birth to Frank Javier Jr and Elizabeth Ann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Javier; daughter Elizabeth Ann (Lisa); parents George and
Alicia; brothers George, Henry, James, and Ronald; and sisters Alice and Lourdes. She is survived by her son Frank (Brenda); brother William; sister Patricia; grandchildren Francisco III (Angelica), Joseph (Cazandra), David, James, and Patrick. In addition, she leaves behind her great-grandchildren Sophia,
Eleazar, Sulema, Ezra, Analuna, Darek, and Nikolai; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Kay was a true and humble servant of Our Lord. Her love for her family and friends was extraordinary.
For 18 years she devotedly took care of Lisa. After her passing, they started to travel and spent a lot of
time in Sequim, Washington with a few of her brothers and sister. Their travels were cut short due to her
husband’s back problems, which led to another 5 years devotedly taking care of his every need.
Her compassion and enduring love will be truly missed.
The Llanes Family would like to thank her caretakers Adela Ray and Rosey Contreras for their loving care, as well as Gentiva Hospice and staff.
