Kathryn Justine Castro, 29, went to be with our heavenly Father on Friday July 14, 2017, just 1 day shy of her 30th Birthday. Kathryn was loved by so many, especially her four wonderful children; she always called them her “babies”. Kathryn’s love and kindheartedness will leave a forever impression on all who knew her.
Kathryn was born July 15, 1987, in Tucson, Az. Kathryn loved doing family things such as, going to the lake, camping, picnics at the park or attending family reunions. She also enjoyed going out with friends and dancing or just hanging out listening to music. One thing about Kathryn is she always liked wearing the best clothes; name brand perfumes and carry expensive name brand purses.
Kathryn was an extremely hardworking single mother, she was very passionate about her job responsibilities, her position and the company she worked for. She managed a large staff of employees that respected her and her work ethic. She started as desk agent and was Dedicated, Devoted, Loyal and a team player. She worked hard to make her way up the ranks and ultimately became an assistant manager because of those vary traits mentioned. She was a self-starter and would come into work daily asking to take on more tasks to assist her General Manager. The hotel was like her home. She was proud of her hotel and her team. She always wanted to be the best hotel in Tucson and Arizona, number one because second was not good enough for Kathryn.
She is survived by her four children Aviania Guzman, Ilario Castro, Ismael Guzman, and Emilio Moya; father and mother, Robert Mendoza and Lisa Castro; grandfather, Hugo Castro; brothers, Carlos Mendoza, Robert Mendoza and Rene Granillo; sister, Natasha Castro; and numerous aunts, uncle’s nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Rodolfo Mendoza; grandmothers, Kathryn Castro and Otilia Mendoza; brother, Ryan Granillo.
A celebration of Kathryn's life will be held at the reception hall at South Lawn immediately following.
