Karlynn Frazier Baker was born December 6, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away on April 23, 2024 in Tucson, AZ. Karlynn is pre-deceased by her loving parents, Franklin E. Dana and Margaret E. Nixon Dana and her husband Frederick M. Cuda.
Karlynn is survived by her daughters Jennifer Harris (Roy), Allison Seno (Michael), and Dana Baker Arbizo; grandchildren Michael and Anntonette Seno, Ronnie Baker, Cameron and Riley Ramsey; sisters Margaret Sammet (Jeff) and Lauren Dana, and many nieces and nephews.
Karlynn attended UCLA where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and continued her education at The University of Arizona where she earned a Master of Science. While at the U of A, she met a handsome Army Major (Ronald W. Baker, deceased 1990) and was married a couple of years later. Karlynn and Ron had 3 daughters together and remained very close after the dissolution of their marriage.
Mom was a very successful rehabilitation and family counselor, and even owned her own business helping others to overcome their struggles. Mom was very proud of her 40 plus years of sobriety from alcoholism. She and Fred had many wonderful adventures together. They loved to go on cruises and road trips.
Mom had the voice of an angel and used her talent to sing in several productions in college, in the community and at church. She had the most beautiful hands and was often seen and heard playing her piano while singing during our childhood. We have fond memories of helping her at Junior League rummage sales, having her as our Blue Bird leader, tucking us in at night, waiting for us at the school bus stop, going on amazing vacations, learning to drive, going shopping for prom dresses, having her escort us down the aisle at our weddings, sending us care packages, and showing us what a lady is. We can’t possibly sum up such a wonderful and full life on one page.
We will love you forever sweet and beautiful mama.
