June Evelyn Petty (Harnist) of Tucson, AZ passed away on June 24, 2019 at the age of 53. June was born in Ashtabula, OH, daughter of the late Charles “Charlie” Harnist Sr. and Joanne Harnist, but relocated to the southwest at a young age. She graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School, class of 1983. She is survived by her beloved daughter Courtney Zufelt (Oliver), her mother Joanne Harnist, brother Charles Jr. (Diana) from Montana, sister Sherrie (John) Liebert of Tucson, and her two grandsons. Preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Christin D. Petty, Father Charles L. Harnist, and sister Kathleen M. Brewer. June had a passion for horses and loved sharing that passion with her daughters. She was a renowned breeder of Great Danes for many years, some of which went on to win big in dog shows. Her generous heart and radiant smile are so missed.
Services will be held at East Lawn Palms, 5801 E Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712 on Monday July 15th at 9:30am.
