Juan proudly served 6 years in the US Army and then attended Lamson Business college and received a certification in Carpentry. Juan met and married Maria Luisa Soto on April 24, 1964. Juan had a successful rewarding career as a carpenter and welder. He retired in December 1994 after 9 years as a Foreman at Hughes Aircraft Company. Juan was a member of the American Legion Cocio-Estrada Post 59 in Tucson, Arizona. Juan had a passion for hunting and fishing. He loved to build things and drew up blueprints with his son Johnny and built an amazing home for his family.
Juan was preceded in death by his Son Johnny Cruz, his Daughter Toni Cruz, and his Grandson Carlos Cruz.
Juan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria Luisa Cruz, daughter Liz Cruz, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Services will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 602 W. Ajo Way, Tucson, Arizona 85713.
