Joseph Lewis, age 86, went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2022 in Tucson, AZ his home for nearly 50 years. He was born August 6, 1935 in Charles City, VA. As he recounted with his grandkids many times, he was from a family of 10 – 4 boys, 4 girls, mom and dad. Joe joined the US Air Force in 1954 at the age of 18. He retired from the US Air Force in 1976 but continued in his field of aircraft supply as a civil servant until his retirement in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife and mother of his children, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his sister, Ardelia, 2 sons, Michael and Joe (Shannon Lewis), 5 grandchildren, Alyissia, Phylicia, Joseph, Jordan and Sarah and many nieces and nephews
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 10 at 8am at South Lawn Funeral Home, 5401 S Park Ave Tucson, AZ 85706. Graveside service immediately following.
