Jose Jesus Santa Cruz

Jose Jesus Santa Cruz, lovingly known as Joe or Mavino, age 67, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 1, 2022. He was born on May 1, 1955 in Agua Prieta, Sonora Mexico. He graduated from Douglas High School and attended Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona where he ran on the track team. Joe is preceded in death by his father Cloromiro, mother Antonia and brothers Eduardo and Rosalio. He is survived by his wife Maria of 35 years and his children Isela, Esmeralda (Miguel), Celina, MaryLou (Vincent), JJ and JP. Grandchildren Ruthmarie, Maximo, Angelina, Ilianna, Guillermo, Gabriel, Anissa, Dominic, Noni, Kaden, Olivia and Benicio. Seven great grandchildren. Siblings Cloromiro (Elia), Ana (Jose Luis), and Antonio (Marta).

Joe was a very hard worker. He was the proud owner of J&M Janitorial for over 30 years. He was a very talented singer/songwriter and recorded several CD’s. He was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and also participated in some missionary trips to Mexico and Northern Arizona. His favorite pastimes included camping and fishing, playing his guitar, swimming with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He loved the ocean and the beach and loved digging his toes in the sand. Joe also loved traveling and taking road trips with his wife. Joe loved his family very much and cherished every moment he had with them and he will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank TMC for the great care Joe received and the support they provided to our family. We would also like to thank Emmanuel Baptist Church and friends and family for all the prayers and support in this difficult time.
