Rayl, John Alexander Jr., 89, of Tucson passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 23, 2012. John is preceeded in death by his wife of 53 years, Alyne Rayl. John is survived by his only son, William C. Rayl, nieces Julie Albertson and Donna Hamlin, grand nieces Jessica and Ashley, grand nephew Rocky, and great grand niece Ava. John was born June 30, 1922 in Athens, TN. He was a lumberman in Tampa, FL for 75 years before retiring to Tucson, AZ in 2001. Dad went from a fiery young man to a kind and gentle sole with many good memories and great friends along the way. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 30, at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E Grant Rd. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, May 1, at Desert Skies United Methodist Church, 3255 N Houghton Rd. with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
