John Alvin Blocher

BLOCHER, John 75, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on July 20, 2017, after suffering a series of devastating strokes. John was born in Marietta, IN on May 19, 1942 to Arthur H. Blocher and Betty J. (McMurray) Blocher. He is preceded in death by his son, John (Allen) Blocher. John is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cheri and his three daughters, Laura (Virgil) Spain, Angie Blocher and Jennifer Lopez. John is also the proud "Poppy" (grandfather) of four grandchildren, Joe Alvarez, Jr. (Samantha), Ricardo Chavez, Jr., Gabbie Alvarez, and Ryan Lopez and one great-granddaughter, Sofia Alvarez. As well as numerous loving family members in Indiana, Florida, and New York. John loved nothing more in life than the Lord, speaking his mind, and spending time with his family and providing for their every need. Because his love for all children, he will forever be remembered as "Everybody's Poppy". Services will take place at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN, 5401 S. Park Ave., Tucson, AZ 85706, on Thursday, July 27, 2017, starting with a Visitation at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by interment at South Lawn Cemetery.
